What on earth were all those bikes doing on the streets of Bristol in October?

Westcountry Choppers recently created the UK’s first (some have said the World’s first!) Zombie Ride.

Bikers recently met at Explorers Hangout in fancy dress to ride around the city of Bristol’s shopping districts, including Gloucester Road, Whiteladies Road, Park Street, the Harbourside, Old City and City Centre.

A fleet of 60 bikers travelled as a parade, entertaining shoppers, visitors, and locals alike.

With well-drilled marshals, the traffic was stopped, and everyone enjoyed taking photos and filming as the bikes passed by.

This inaugural event in 2024 has been a huge success with the bikers, the charities it supported, and local businesses.

It will now become an annual event on the last Saturday in October.

Next year, it has permission to stop and display the costumes and decorated bikes on Millennium Square in the harbourside, and the local art museum will jump onboard to showcase it on its giant outdoor screen.

So, plan your costume in time for next year’s Zombie ride!
